Description
After a mini-lesson on the use of sound effects in poetry students will work in pairs/ groups to create a tutorial for another grade level that features one of the following sound effects: alliteration, internal rhyme, onomatopoeia, rhyme scheme.

Example
The team is given a poetry element to identify in multiple poems and highlight the assigned sound effect. Then, the students will create a tutorial in which they read the poem emphasizing the sound effect. The tutorial will be accessible online for other students to see or hear to review and provide feedback. The students will comment on the video providing an explanation of what sound effect is featured and what it adds to the poem.
Notes
As a cumulative activity the videos/recordings and comments will be shared with other classes/grade levels.
